Hi, I’m writing this guide to provide a simple solution to the recent wave of “autoplay” articles.
The problem is that if you have a list of videos on youtube and one video starts playing, your whole playlist will autoplay until it reaches the end, or you stop it, which can become quite tedious if you don’t watch all the videos.
Many autoplay-related articles were all created with good intentions, but none of them worked for me, so I decided to make one myself and share it with the world.
The instructions below will outline how to turn off autoplay on a youtube playlist. This solution is applicable for Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera and other browsers that support HTML5.
What’s the problem with autoplay?
Well, firstly, if you’re watching your favourite playlist on your phone, it will drain its battery very quickly because the videos are playing one after another. The second is that it can be pretty irritating when you have a bunch of tabs open and your music starts playing in the background without you pressing play.
How do I turn off autoplay on the youtube playlist?
It’s simple, follow these steps:
– Go to https://www.youtube.com/ and click the small arrow in the right corner of the screen (the one that appears when you hover over your name).
– Click “Turn off autoplay” as shown below:
– And that’s it! You can now enjoy your favourite videos without having to worry about the autoplay feature. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget to share this article, cheers:)
