Did you know that YouTube comments can have formatting just like Microsoft Office documents? Find out how to make your video stand apart with some extra symbols.
YouTube now allows users to post comments with three different types of text: bold, italics and strikethrough.
YouTube has recently updated its commenting system so that you can include more than just your name in the comment section! The new feature will allow viewers on the video page to get a better idea about what’s happening or say something meaningful without having to write everything out themselves; all they have to do is click into one option (for example, ” Italics”) then start typing away – it automatically formats as desired by replacing words according to if capitalization(i.,e sentence starts).
So, I use Google Chrome myself. But you can use whatever browser you want to use if it’s not on the list below. But in my guide, I will be using Google Chrome (obviously) and Youtube (duh!!!!).
Now that we got that out of the way let’s get started!!!!!
First, before I start talking about the guide, I want to thank my parents for buying Google Chrome for me instead of Microsoft Edge or Microsoft Internet Explorer cause those two browsers aren’t excellent.
So now that we got that out of the way, let’s start with the guide!!!!
Step 1: Open up your browser, which in this case is Google Chrome, and go to Youtube.com and sign in to your account (do this first before you do anything else).
Step 2: Once you are logged in, go to the comments section of any video throughout all channels and select a comment that will be made bold such as “this is so cool” or “I love this song!”.
Step 3: Look at the top of your browser where it says “Hanging Out” and select the four squares.
Step 4: Once you are in the drop-down menu, scroll to More Tools and select Extensions.
Step 5: Once Extensions is selected, click on the blue link that says Get More Extensions.
Step 6: Search for and select the extension called “Make Comments Bold”.
Step 7: Once Make Comments Bold is selected, click Add to Chrome, and you’re done!!!! Now, whenever you comment, it will be bold. I hope this was helpful.
